A style that evolved from our popular Cafe Racer jacket, modified with features from another of our flagship jackets – the Highwayman (featuring the Highwayman collar and back set up.
We’ve been making Café Racer jackets since the 1980s, our current offering has benefitted from 30 years of development without any modification that would take away from the original post war design. The most recent and probably final tweak was a redesign to the collar so it’s set at the ultimate angle to combine comfort and practicality riding and to give the best wind protection to the back of the neck. The back has a double kidney panel and the body is cut to fit close on the ribcage giving the wearer full weather protection without any loss of style.
Aero manufacture two similar versions of the Cafe Racer. Both jackets offer a closer fit than the standard bike jacket and are closely based on the best Cafe Racer jackets from back in the day. The more authentically styled Two Pocket Cafe Racer has no side pockets, two zip closing breast pockets, neat stand collar with single stud fastening, centre zipper, zipped cuffs and a double kidney protection panel. The optional 4 Pocket version benefits from the addition of two zip-up side hand warmer pockets, but is otherwise the same jacket described above. Jackets can be ordered with either Brass, Antique Brass or with Nickel/Silver zippers.
