“The Cossack”, takes it’s inspiration from the sports jackets of the 1930s . Our new design team have created a unique jacket that, although not a reproduction of any particular original 1930s jacket, would fit seamlessly into the advert from a 1935 Sears catalogue in the picture bar. Our short Cossack leather jacket closes by a genuine deadstock Talon zipper, a fairly new invention in the early 1930s, the zippers we use actually date from the 1950s but are identical to the zippers of the late 1930s. The jacket has two deep handwarmer pockets lined on Moleskin, giving both warmth and security, the unusual back design features two hidden pleats while the side adjustment uses an inverted “Vee” panel construction, a throwback to the military flight jackets of the early 1920s. The result is a practical and stylish Winter jacket.
